Review

Fifteen-year-old Alex and his gang spread terror through the city at night; Alex's greatest passions are violence and Beethoven. After a murder, he ends up in prison.

The experimental treatment he accepts in exchange for early release conditions him against evil, but it also takes away his freedom to choose. Is a person who has been forced to be good truly good?

With an original language drawn from teenage slang, Burgess created a classic that is both disturbing and full of black humor.
