Review
Amir, the son of a wealthy family, and Hassan, the son of their servant, grow up together in 1970s Kabul. What happens after a kite-fighting tournament becomes a guilt Amir will carry for the rest of his life.
Set in the shadow of war and exile, the novel tells a powerful story of friendship, fathers and sons, and redemption.
